The Glow Worm

Message from the CEO

Welcome to August,

I hope this finds you all well and in good spirits.

Welcome to another Everglow newsletter. My name is Wayne Crase and I am proud and privileged to be the new CEO of Everglow.

I am looking forward to the amazing opportunity of serving as CEO of the most innovative community care organisations in North Queensland.

While this is my first published newsletter at Everglow I have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to talk with many of our members and to meet and talk with many of their carers too.  Thank you for making me feel very welcome.

We all sometimes have that feeling of “where did the year go?” and I am certainly feeling that myself at the moment. Next month on          13th September, it will be time for our Annual General Meeting.  You will be receiving further details shortly.  I would like to encourage all members of Everglow to attend and join myself and the Management Committee in reviewing the year that was.

It has been great to see the numbers to social functions increasing and if you would like to do something different we are happy to have suggestions.  I welcome any feedback from you in relation to your services or any opportunities for improvement.

I hope you all have a happy and exciting August.

Until next month, stay safe.

Congratulations

To the ladies in the Ayr Crochet and Knitting Group.  The ladies have been knitting and crocheting  again.   Last year they supported the community with the baby blankets donated to the Ayr Hospital and the knee rugs donated to the Lower Burdekin Home for the Aged.

Our Personal Care Worker Connie Ybarlucea presented a slightly smaller crochet and knitted blankets to Andrea Berryman Canine Placement coordinator, for the Burdekin Pet Rescue.
