The Glow Worm
Message from the CEO
Hello good people,
Welcome to 2018. I hope this finds you all well and in good spirits.
This month begins an exciting time for ECCLI. The Board have approved our Strategic Plan for the next four years, we begin new relationships with other providers born and bred here in North Queensland like ourselves, and we are seeing more and more people taking up Home Care Packages with ECCLI. Who would have thought we could experience such a turnaround in just six months.
We have increased our social support activities across our three centres and Jill Morice our Registered Nurse has been very busy over the past month, getting out and assisting our clients.
We also have some fresh new faces in the team, so please say hello and make them feel welcome.
I mentioned above about an increase in people coming to ECCLI to have us provide care under their assigned Home Care Package. We are still seeing confusion out there as to whether ECCLI provides care up to Level 3 and 4 of Home Care Packages.
Yes, we do, and have done for some time now. So please help spread the word.
As always, I welcome any feedback from you in relation to your services or any opportunities improvement. I hope you all have a happy and exciting January.
Until next month, stay safe.
Wayne
Welcome in the New Year with more flexibility and strength.
I encourage you to take charge of your health in 2018, include Gentle Movement to Music to your New Years Resolution.
For the past several months, Jaye has participated in gentle movement classes at Everglow, and reported how impressed her Doctor was during a recent visit. When instructed to bend forward, touch the floor, and twist her spine from right to left, Jaye moved with pain-free ease. Proudly telling her Doctor, “it’s because of my weekly chair exercises!” She passed the physical requirements to renew her driver’s license, and can safely rotate her spine and neck in order to see the traffic behind and beside her. Well done for taking charge of your health!
Join us on Friday mornings for an invigorating and fun class to move, strengthen and stretch. I hope to see you in for Gentle Movement classes in January.
